The Leather: Horween® Dublin
Dublin is a full grain, vegetable-tanned leather made by Horween® in Chicago — tanned with the same tree-bark extract blend as their legendary Shell Cordovan. A hard wax finish gives it pull-up character: it lightens where it flexes, then deepens back with wear. Naturally finished, so color and grain vary piece to piece — that's the point.
How It Ages
Vegetable-tanned leather only gets better with use. Expect the color to deepen and a rich patina to build over months of carry — scuffs burnish in rather than standing out.
